Canadian Psychology Sites
Canada has a long history of excellence in scientific psychology (e.g.,
Donald Hebb, who developed what is know known as the Hebbian synapse;
Brenda
Milner, renowned for her research with amnesic patient HM; Endul
Tulving
and Gus Craik, leaders in the science of memory; Lee Brooks and Alan
Paivio,
famed for foundational research on imagery and memory). According to a
recent
report, Canada ranks third in the world rankings of highly cited papers
in
psychology and neuroscience (behind the USA and UK, both of which have
much
larger populations). Canada has 49 universities that include
psychology
and/or counselling departments. Below are links that may be
useful
to students studying psychology in Canada (as well as to those living
elsewhere
who are considering coming to Canada for further studies).
